Wing roles out a pilot program (no pun intended), or should we say pilot-less program for drone delivery services in the Frisco neighborhood near Dallas Fort-Worth. The collaboration begins with the Walmart Supercenter at 8555 Preston Road in Frisco location. Their approach is taking into consideration the unique conditions of each address where delivery is enabled to ensure it has adequate space for receiving a delivery safely. Updates, and assessments are being made in an ongoing basis.

Following a Center for Economic and Community Engagement Study, researches concluded that after operating for a period of 5 or more years in a large city this type of service could reduce approximately 580 crashes and reduce 113,000 tons of CO2 per year (in terms of CO2 reduction that’s equivalent to removing 24,000 cars from the road).
